If democracy means to balance interests among members of a community, why in most work places the interests of a minority in charge prevails over the majority of employees?

What is organizational democracy and why does it matter? Do you feel your opinion matters in your work place? What is the role of organizations in building democracy? How to design evaluations able to measure empowerment outcomes and its managerial model in order to improve democratic practices?

In this presentation I propose a framework to assess the democratic practices of empowerment in non-profit organizations.

The purpose is to identify principles that strengthen empowerment and examine how they are applied in the managerial and training/educational practices of the organization.

These principles translated in actions for participants and organizational stakeholders, served, in this case study with Juventud FACETA to design an assessment protocol that can be used as an evaluation tool by democratic programs.
